Mom took the pick-axe to loosen the soil while I kept digging.

Yesterday I went to an amazing tree planting in Coney Island with Mom, Dad and another friend, Joan. We had a great time. We planted 1 oak tree in front of an apartment complex next to a parking lot. One of the ladies who I guess lives in one of the apartments had a fit that we were planting trees. We were probably blocking her wonderful view of the parking lot. Haha!!!!!!
There were about 100 volunteers, and all together we probably planted around 15 young trees. It was hard work! Digging the hole is difficult!
If this sounds fun to you go to http://www.milliontreesnyc.org/html/home/home.shtml to find an upcoming tree planting and other fun stuff!!!!!

Nate, we are very inspired by your commitment to our planet and tikkun olam. You have made your Bar Mitzvah meaningful already, and you haven’t even been called to the Torah! We look forward to the ceremony with great joy and much admiration for all you have accomplished so far. If you don’t mind our saying so, we think your parents have done a pretty good job, too.
Best regards,
Michele and Steve Klausner
